Do you host more than one wedding on the same day?

Never. Great Marsh enforces a strict 1 wedding per day policy across the entire 120-acre estate. To preserve our grounds and deliver truly unhurried culinary hospitality with Serendipity Catering, we strictly cap our venue calendar at just 60 events per year. For the 2027 season, 50 dates are already booked, leaving only 10 dates remaining.

Can all 200 guests be seated in one room for dinner?

Yes! The Historic Stables features unified banquet seating for up to 200 guests with ample space for a dance floor and full band setup. No divided parlors, no separated families.

How does on-site catering work with Serendipity Catering?

Serendipity Catering operates out of the permanent on-site kitchen directly in the Historic Stables. Entrées are cooked à la minute, eliminating mobile food trucks or field tents. All china, flatware, and barware are included.

How far is Great Marsh Estate from Washington D.C.?

The estate is approximately 50 miles southwest of downtown Washington, D.C. (roughly a one-hour drive via I-66 and Route 28/29) and convenient to Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Reagan National (DCA).
